The 2008 Chocolate Fest - 15 March
Come and indulge your taste buds at the Johannesburg Autumn-Easter Chocolate Fest on Saturday 15th March and support a good cause. The Fest will showcase a wide range of chocolate products including a chocolate fountain, chocolate confectionery, Easter eggs, chocolate body products, cakes, yoghurts, milk shakes, ice creams and desserts.
All proceeds will go to The Johannesburg School for Blind, Low Vision and Multiple Disability Children (Beka), a charity based in Auckland Park. The school specialises in education for blind and low vision children as well as educating children from our sister charity, Children of Fire. It equips some to re-enter mainstream schooling, while other pupils are permanent. The school receives no support from government, and relies solely on public donations.
Stock up on chocolates for Easter and take home yummy baked goods for afternoon tea. Take the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket and stand a chance to win a fabulous two nights on a fully inclusive basis at the luxurious Pafuri Camp in the Kruger National Park, dinner for two at The Loft in Melville, Jenna Clifford designer pewter ware, brunch for two at The Grace in Rosebank, 7th Heaven beauty treatments, a Stuttafords voucher and a painting from Giraffe Centre.
Meet our celebrity guests, Hein Vosloo and Dyke Higgenson from Survivor SA, which was based in Malaysia. Both Hein and Dyke made it through to the last week of the competition before being voted out by the other contestants. Hein is the only person in the history of the programme worldwide to have made a fire without using matches. He was also voted as the viewers’ choice to be Sole Survivor by 70 per cent of the viewing public. Both men have lived in the bush and have a great passion for the environment and for educating future generations and are currently involved in setting up survival training courses in Kwazulu-Natal. Come and meet these Survivors and ask them all the questions you have about Survivor.
The Smartie Man will also be visiting us from 1300 to 1400 so bring along your young children to meet him.
The event takes place at 35 Lothbury Road, Auckland Park, from 12noon to at least 6pm. Please call us on 011 726 6529 for details.
